A strong social media content strategy ensures every post supports a broader marketing goal whether that’s building brand awareness, driving traffic, or turning followers into loyal clients. To strengthen my skills and expand beyond content creation into digital marketing, I completed the Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Certificate. This training helped me learn how to strategically plan, schedule, and optimize content across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. This section showcases what I learned in that program and how I’ve already begun applying it to my own brand and client-facing content.
This is one of the projects for my Google Certification training. For this project, I was tasked with creating a one-week social media campaign for a fictional coffee shop promoting a Mother's Day sale. I mapped out platform-specific content including video, stories, GIFs, and infographics tailored to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Each post was scheduled for optimal engagement times and aligned with key seasonal themes like National Nurses Day and Teacher Appreciation Week. This exercise taught me how to build strategic, goal-driven campaigns that balance timing, audience relevance, and creative variety.
Building on the foundations I developed through the Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Certificate, I’ve been actively applying what I’ve learned to strengthen the online presence of McCabe Video Productions.
This social media content plan is a snapshot of how I structure and schedule posts across platforms with clear goals in mind whether that’s promoting new work, driving traffic, or building brand recognition. Staying current with new tools and trends is part of my process, and I continue to adapt my strategy as the digital landscape evolves.
